Back to School 2022!!

Image
Here we are at the start of another year of homeschooling!  I’m so amazed at the Lords Mercy and Grace!  I’m also stunned at how quickly it’s going. Even though I try to slow things down and really take in each moment, it seems to be flying by.,  Sarah is in 9th grade and David is now in 6th grade.  This year I gave Sarah the choice of going into a local hybrid or private school. She decided to stay with homeschooling. (My heart was happy)  She is no longer competing in gymnastics, but is now busy with another love. Spiritual Twist Productions.  She loved gymnastics and her coaches were amazing but after breaking both her wrists doing “Yurchenko Drills”, the reality of the danger set it. She also had no time for other interests.  This Summer she did STP’s Summer Intensive and they performed “Acts a City Rising”. This was an amazing experience. This also kept us very busy.  David has continued with his Karate and is making improvements! He’s ...

My Blog is Awful! Free January Weekly Poster

Image
I was trying to edit my blog and decorate it for the holidays. Please put on some sunglasses and continue reading. I will be fixing it, but this month has gotten away from me. 💁 Where did this month go? Seriously? It seems like just yesterday I was making a huge turkey?  This month has been a whirlwind of parties, homeschooling,  shopping and of course, the start of Sarah's new season of competitions. We've tossed in David's Taekwondo too!!  For January, I think of winter. I actually had a hard time coming up with something for this month's calendar. I'm not sure why? I guess I had a creative block.  This month's background is again, from Janelle at Chantahlia's Design . This is a recent addition to her many backgrounds available on her website. If you click her name, the link will take you there.  I love these. This is a weekly planner that is really working out for us. I print this out at our local Walmart. You can get this do...

Planner Perfection & Free Weekly Poster

Image
I think my title is a bit dramatic, but that's how I feel.  For years, Nay...Decades, I've used paper planners. I couldn't find the perfect planner, so I started to create my own planner pages. Times change and my children's needs change, thus changing my own needs. My needs for the type of planner changed. They continue to change, sometimes from day-to-day.  I didn't want lists all over the house, or apps all over my Ipad. I decided to try digital planning. I have Onenote and thought it would be a good idea. The only problem is setting up a planner, one that I liked, was worse than organizing underwear!! It took too much time and with children and all I had to  do, it wasn't something that I could stay focused on. I do have trouble focusing on things to begin with.  Simplicity is one thing that helps my ADD. If it's simple, I can continue to follow through. This includes how I decorate and organize my home and also my planner.  When y...

Free Fall Covers and Dividers!!

Image
Fall has finally arrived here in NC. Fall weather means cool mornings, cool evenings and open windows!  This is my happy place.  Moving from NY to NC was such a blessing but getting used to the warmer weather has proven to be harder than I thought it would be. My third year here and I'm feeling more acclimated to NC weather.  That doesn't mean I don't look forward to the cooler weather!!  To celebrate I created 12 Notebook covers or planner dividers. You can use these any way you want. Click Here to Download   These are all free to download. I have them as a PNG file. You can resize them to any size planner you use.  Why can I share these for free??  I got all these awesome graphics for free from Chantahlia Design.   Janelle creates these and offers them for free on her site. What a generous person. Because of her generosity, I always share her site when I use her graphics.  Please don't send any files directl...

October - Free Daily Planner and Covers

Image
Click Here to download October is almost here, and I'm very excited. There is nothing like chilly, crisp fall mornings. In my case, the start of Fall means that my weather is still in the '90s. I'm not complaining. Ok, I'm complaining. I don't miss the snow of NY, but I do miss the beautiful fall mornings and fall leaves.  I'm not a huge fan of Halloween, but my children seem to love when I surprise them with new covers.  There's nothing like a cute notebook or planner cover to start your new month of on a celebratory note!  These can also be used as a planner divider.  I created these sets. I use The Happy Planner discs for my children's planners.  These covers or dividers are A4, letter size. I have uploaded them as a PNG, so that you can resize them to any size you use. If you use the mini, classic or full-sized planner, these can be resized. I've also included back covers with out any labels.  I also created a cut...

Free Poster Calendar!!!

Image
With Summer quickly approaching, many of us are looking forward to the break from the school year.  We are year-round homeschoolers, which means that we only take off the month of July.  This year, because of Sarah's gym schedule, we may be changing that.  Looks like she'll be going from 9am - 12 am 4 days a week. So getting school work done in the morning may be a bit harder.  I love the freedom of homeschooling and add to that year-round homeschooling and we've got PLENTY of extra time to play with. This shouldn't be too big an issue because Sarah is great at managing her time. That's one thing that homeschooling is great for teaching, *Time Management*.  One of the biggest issues we've had is keeping track of everyone's schedules. I know that many keep their appointments on their phones. Some keep a planner, etc.  I keep all my appointments on my phone, which is great. The problem is that my husband doesn't. My children don...

I don't date them so that you can use them year after year!  We're heading down to SC... Myrtle Beach!! Sarah is very excited. We're traveling with our friends, the Spencers! There are a few times in life where God brings people to you and they quickly become family!! This is them!! I love creating fun, colorful printables, and these cute photos. These girls have worked hard!! Sarah's competing USAG Silver and Khloe is competing USAG Gold!! Gold is a tough level. The competition is fierce and the judges are much tougher on the gymnasts. Khloe worked hard and I'm sure she'll do great! These two really do enjoy each other. What I love is when I hear them encouraging each other, or confessing when they're struggling with something. They push one another to be better, not just in...

David Turned 8!! - Celebrate with 3 NEW Notebook Covers!

Image
What a great and busy weekend we had!! I can't believe that my 4th child, my baby, my gentle giant turned 8 years old!! It seems like just yesterday I held him in my arms trying to decide a name for him. It took my husband and me a few hours to name him.  We had purchased tickets to see the Kratt brothers months back. We knew Sarah had a gymnastics meet that weekend but never thought it would be on the same day as the tickets!! Turns out it was!! She had her meet, the Brittany Coppedge Invitational in Raleigh at 1pm. The show started at 4:30.  We made it!! David had no idea that we had gotten him tickets. We had also gotten him a new video game for his Ninetendo Switch!! He found out at the meet about seeing the Kratt Brothers.  He is such a sweet young man. I was so happy to surprise him with this.  Sarah had a great time with her event. She didn't do as well on the floor as she had in the past. I saw her face when her team mate KILLED it o...

Our Pastor has been reading through Ephesians. What a great book. It doesn't hurt that our pastor is a wonderful teacher. I usually don't brag about pastors, but this one and his family are amazing!!!  They're sweet, knowledgable and HUMBLE!!  Very real. We are a world that is looking for REAL!! Real followers of Christ! Real People! Real Sinners!!!  If that's the case , you've come to the right place.  Ephesians 2:10 really speaks to me. March Comes In like a Lion.......With a Little Sparkle

Image
I love planners... All kinds of planners. For me carrying around a planner didn't work. I don't know why? I find that I put my appointments in my ICalendar. I have an iphone, Ipad and a Mac desktop, so they all sync up. Do you know what doesn't sync up?? The rest of my family. For some reason, my husband, who is an Applications Specialist, doesn't look at the Calendar. So our daily conversations start out with, "What are your plans for today?"  😏 I was trying to find a way to have our weekly and monthly plans out in the open for EVERYONE!!!. A one-Stop place for ALL Plans, appointments and agendas to be written down. A visual masterpiece for all to see!! An organizational dream !!!! Ok, so that's a bit dramatic. 😂 I wanted a calendar that I could leave out. I didn't want it on the fridge. I don't like a cluttered fridge.  I wanted something I could put in a frame or laminate.  I came up with these.  A two -page Calendar that ca...

Getting Ideas for Next year - Notebook Covers

Image
This time of the year, we're finishing up this years work with the thought of next year in the back of our minds.  For some, like myself, we already know what we're doing. I will be organizing and rearranging our school room to better fit what we really use. Nothing like having tons of books around that we never used. It makes me feel inferior that we never got to all those great literature books. I know that It's ok, but still, having them around bothers me. I'll be putting them away, so that my guilt goes with it. (Just keeping it real) One way that I reorganize is new notebook covers for the kids. My son loves to have covers that reflect his personality. Same for my daughter. These are some standard covers that I use in binders. I've used standard binders but I find that heavy duty binders are the way to go. Yes, you can save a few dollars, but usually those binders have to be replaced. Either the rings tend to open, or the pocket inside rips, or the cover...
