Happy New year!! 2020 is here. That means a fresh start for resolutions and a fresh start for an organizational overhaul!  For me, it's imperative that my children help. As a homeschooling mom, there is no way I'd be able to do all that I do without their help.  We are a family. We learn together, We have fun together and We clean together!  One way that helps my children are Zone cleaning cards. I posted some free ones here.  The ones I posted are printable. You can print, laminate and bind them.  I recently created a digital school planner and my children liked it! I love that I can edit it weekly and design it with fun graphics. That's right!! Today marks 30 years of wedded bliss. Ok, maybe not bliss, but certainly a blessing!!  Rob and I got married 30 years ago today!! It was a freezing cold day in November and neither of us knew what we were getting into. Four children and 30 years later, we still have no idea what we're doing but have learned a few things along the way.  I see meme's on Facebook and Instagram and I'm usually amazed by the fantasy expectations that women have about marriage.  Love isn't fancy flowers or things.  Love isn't him thinking about you and you being his only thought. If you think you're going to get married and your spouse is going to think about you all day, you're in for a HUGE letdown.  That is a fantasy. Something you saw on TV?? Not the real world. We are setting up our children to fail in marriage if we don't teach them what true love looks like.  What did Jesus do??  He died for us!  He put us first. He tho...

I think my title is a bit dramatic, but that's how I feel.  For years, Nay...Decades, I've used paper planners. I couldn't find the perfect planner, so I started to create my own planner pages. Times change and my children's needs change, thus changing my own needs. My needs for the type of planner changed. They continue to change, sometimes from day-to-day.  I didn't want lists all over the house, or apps all over my Ipad. I decided to try digital planning. I have Onenote and thought it would be a good idea. The only problem is setting up a planner, one that I liked, was worse than organizing underwear!! It took too much time and with children and all I had to  do, it wasn't something that I could stay focused on. I do have trouble focusing on things to begin with.  Simplicity is one thing that helps my ADD. If it's simple, I can continue to follow through. Fall has finally arrived here in NC. Fall weather means cool mornings, cool evenings and open windows!  This is my happy place.  Moving from NY to NC was such a blessing but getting used to the warmer weather has proven to be harder than I thought it would be. My third year here and I'm feeling more acclimated to NC weather.  That doesn't mean I don't look forward to the cooler weather!!  To celebrate I created 12 Notebook covers or planner dividers. It's almost October and I didn't want to forget about the weekly planner for my homeschool moms!!  My children love the different planner pages monthly. It's just something I like to do to make the seasons more fun. I created 3 different ones this week. One is specifically for my ACE moms!! The other two are generic. One is blank and other has the days of the week, and you can fill in the subjects.  Click here to download I don't actually print out new ones each week. You can do that but these are colorful and take up quite a bit of printer ink. If you're like me, you like to save ink where you can.  I print these out and laminate them.  I use a sharpie to write in the daily work, and alcohol cleans this right off.  Sometimes I'll print out two different prints and laminate back to back. Click Here to download October is almost here, and I'm very excited. There is nothing like chilly, crisp fall mornings. In my case, the start of Fall means that my weather is still in the '90s. I'm not complaining. Ok, I'm complaining. I don't miss the snow of NY, but I do miss the beautiful fall mornings and fall leaves.  I'm not a huge fan of Halloween, but my children seem to love when I surprise them with new covers.  There's nothing like a cute notebook or planner cover to start your new month of on a celebratory note!  These can also be used as a planner divider.  I created these sets. I use The Happy Planner discs for my children's planners.  These covers or dividers are A4, letter size. I have uploaded them as a PNG, so that you can resize them to any size you use. Happy Memorial Day! For some,  this day is a sad one. They're missing loved ones who gave up their lives for our freedom. Thank you to those who have sacrificed everything!! Thank you to the spouses who are at home, keeping the home front going!!  In celebration of this weekend, I was hoping to get this done earlier in the week and that wasn't happening.  I created a youtube Video/Vlog to show you how I use these. Everyone once in a while, I get an idea that really excites me.  I've seen all these great laundry basket ideas and none of them really worked for me. I had hung up baskets on my laundry room wall, which worked but really were too big. They took up too much room and were really over-kill for what we needed. By the time the large baskets were filled, it was over 2 loads for me.  I saw this at Ikea and took a chance. This is the taller Ikea Algot Frame with 3 of the larger baskets.  I should mention that I use a Speed Queen laundry set. My washing machine is A-MAZ-ING!! I actually get to wash in hot water!! My machine is NOT an HE Machine and I love it! I get a large load washed and washed well in about 30 minutes. I don't have to use any scented laundry additives because my machine actually cleans my clothing thoroughly...with HOT WATER and it rinses in enough water to get all  the soap out.  I mention this because I don't know if my machine...

With Summer quickly approaching, many of us are looking forward to the break from the school year.  We are year-round homeschoolers, which means that we only take off the month of July.  This year, because of Sarah's gym schedule, we may be changing that.  Looks like she'll be going from 9am - 12 am 4 days a week. So getting school work done in the morning may be a bit harder.  I love the freedom of homeschooling and add to that year-round homeschooling and we've got PLENTY of extra time to play with. This shouldn't be too big an issue because Sarah is great at managing her time. That's one thing that homeschooling is great for teaching, *Time Management*.  One of the biggest issues we've had is keeping track of everyone's schedules. I know that many keep their appointments on their phones. Some keep a planner, etc.  I keep all my appointments on my phone, which is great. The problem is that my husband doesn't. I couldn't help but sing that title. 😊 This is a video that I made. It goes over what ACE is,  (In the simplest form), How we use it, and how we use it with our Classical curriculum.  Ace can be used with any Other curriculum.  You can use all or part of it. It's a great core curriculum.  Here you have some ideas on how to add to it.  All About ACE **Quick Note** I use reusable goal cards. I laminate them and write on them with Sharpie, then wipe off with alcohol. April went by so quickly!! It's been a whirlwind of activities, gym practice,  State competitions and now, this weekend, we're off to Regionals!! I can't believe it's March!!! The time goes quickly!  In Feb. I posted a blog with March's Calendar .  Now I've got April's Calendar and Weekly Calendar!! I don't date them so that you can use them year after year!  We're heading down to SC... Myrtle Beach!! Sarah is very excited. We're traveling with our friends, the Spencers! There are a few times in life where God brings people to you and they quickly become family!! This is them!! I love creating fun, colorful printables, and these cute photos. These girls have worked hard!! Sarah's competing USAG Silver and Khloe is competing USAG Gold!! Gold is a tough level. The competition is fierce and the judges are much tougher on the gymnasts. Khloe worked hard and I'm sure she'll do great! These two really do enjoy each other. What I love is when I hear them encouraging each other, or confessing when they're struggling with something. They push one another to be better, not just in...

I love Galatians 5:22-23.  The kids and I have been memorizing this with a cute song.  I enjoy creating wall art. I like to create these posters. I send them to my local walmart and have them printed. This is a 12x18. I can get an inexpensive frame and BOOM!!! Wall art.  Since you all can download this for free....you save money!!!  How can I create these and give them away for free?? Easy.. I love planners... All kinds of planners. For me carrying around a planner didn't work. I don't know why? I find that I put my appointments in my ICalendar. I have an iphone, Ipad and a Mac desktop, so they all sync up. Do you know what doesn't sync up?? The rest of my family. For some reason, my husband, who is an Applications Specialist, doesn't look at the Calendar. So our daily conversations start out with, "What are your plans for today?"  😏 I was trying to find a way to have our weekly and monthly plans out in the open for EVERYONE!!!.
