Here We Are—Our Country's 250th Birthday!

When I think about our country, I automatically think about John 15:13:

"Greater love has no one than this, that someone lay down his life for his friends."
John 15:13 (ESV)

I'm always amazed by the people who defend our country, those who came before us and those who serve today. There is a special calling on the life of someone who is willing to lay down their life for ours.

They serve people they don't know. People who may not care about them. People who don't believe in what they're fighting for.

They wake up every day. They train. They condition. They remain disciplined. And for what? The possibility of laying down their lives for our country.

The thought of laying down my life for someone honestly confuses me. I would lay down my life for my children. (Although, catch me on a bad day and I may feel differently! 😂)

There are very few people I would actually lay down my life for.

Some days, I don't even like being inconvenienced, let alone giving up my life.

I would be lying if I said I would gladly lay down my life for just anyone.

And yet, we have a Savior who did exactly that.

Jesus laid down His life for me.

He knowingly sat down with His betrayer. He allowed Judas to kiss Him on the cheek. He went to the cross for me—and for all sinners.

When I think about Jesus laying down His life for me, I am truly humbled.

I don't deserve it.

I didn't earn it.

I'm not a good person.

But God!

Knowing that we could never earn our way into Heaven, He provided a way for us.

Thank You, Jesus!

A.C.E. Curriculum Review

I don't usually post reviews because , like most people, we all have opinions but I felt compelled to post about A.C.E. **Disclaimer** I did not receive any compensation for my "Review". I did not receive any free products or curriculum for my review. I wanted to start out by saying that I allowed all the poor reviews of A.C.E. to influence my choice. Now most of the reviews were about the Christian content of A.C.E. and not the academic content. Some were from websites that were Atheists, so I took those with a grain of salt. Caveman is very proud of his grade!!  That said, before I tried A.C.E., I used a variety of curriculum. BJU, MUS, LOE..oh wait.. those acronyms might get annoying.. *Bob Jones Un. *Math u See *Logic of English *My Father's World *Son Light *Alpha Omega LifePacs Now all of the above curriculums are EXCELLENT.. **Updated**Norwex Vs. Ecloth ** Updated **

A friend of mine started selling Norwex. I had no idea what it was at the time. She sent me an invite to her party, via Facebook. I decided to look and I couldn't make it to the party but I wanted to buy something. I went to the Norwex site and was shocked at the prices. I though, "Oh no way!" Then I thought, "Holly isn't impulsive. She's not someone who would waste money, these must be good". I went and watched some of the video's she posted about the product and was intrigued. I decided to buy the "Enviro cloth" and "Window cloth". They were pricey but if they could do what the video showed me, you know...the one with the chicken??
