I haven't blogged in a while. Not because I don't like to but because I've got so much going on, I haven't had the time.
First things first...Sarah is going to be 2 in August. Can you believe that? It seems like just yesterday that I had her. Anywho...
On to the other stuff.
The cloth diapering ministry is going really well. I've named it "Quiver Bunz" and i've already got two mama's that i'm sewing up diapers for. What a blessing. One of the mom's wants to learn how to make her own, so I'm going to teach her.
The business, Precious Bunz, is going well. Off to a slow start but that's to be expected. I'm very blessed because i've got a great husband who is so supportive.
I find that the Lord uses us when we least expect it. I thought, in my little mind, that the Lord would use me more with the diaper ministry, but nope. He's using me more with my business. Which is funny because when He opened up the door for me to start my business, I said to Him, "Like I don't have enough to do?". I guess when He's got a plan, He'll give you what you need to keep up. Sarah goes to bed at night, 8pm and I go to work. Plenty of time.
I'm trying to find ways of funding the ministry. So far the Lord is providing, but He's also providing me with ideas. <--- gotta love that.
I created a mason jar cover for those of us who get raw milk from the farm. It keeps your fridge from getting those annoying milk rings and keeps the jars from rattling about in the car. I'm hoping to sell some. The proceeds will help to purchase more fabric for the ministry.
Even though I'll be selling them , i'm going to share the pattern. I don't know how to create a PDF pattern file but i'll just give you the specs and you'll see how easy it is.
You can use any fabric. I'm using PUL or Polyurethane laminated material. You can now get this as Joannes and even Hancocks carries it.
Cut a circle, 6-1/2 " in diameter. I did this with a ruler...cross your intersections at 3-1/4" inches and then draw your circle...viola!! 6-1/2" circle. Then cut a rectangle, 6" x 16-1/2".
Sew your rectangle, right sides together, using a 1/4" Seam allowance. Then pin your circle to the bottom, like you would a sleeve. Sew your bottom on. Adjusting as you need to. Then for the top, I cut 14" of Fold over elastic, FOE. I then pul as I sew this on. Finish off your ends. You can finish these off any way you'd like.
If you like this, You may use it and sell from it. No licensing or permission needed.
God Bless,
Laura
