You would think that at the age of two, you wouldn't do too much. That is NOT the case. Sarah loves learning and thanks to "Signing Time", she knows the signs for "teach" and "learn". Also, she can identify her ABC's and sign them. (As well as a 2 y/o can sign). She is also great with her colors and most of her shapes. She is also learning the concept of opposites. That said, I decided to see what I could do with her to keep her interested.
I got a computer program from "Jump Start". It's a preschool program for ages 3-5. I figured I'd give it a shot and see how she does. Well, she isn't good with some of the directions which is expected but understands what is being asked. I just word it differently as she and I work together. We only do it for about 10 ,minutes or as long as she seems interested. At 2 their attention span is about 5 minutes, maybe 10 if it's something their interested in. She comes to me and says, "I want to learn things." and she signs learn. Too funny. She likes the program.
Here is our "School": ( I use this term loosely)
Coloring
Playdoh (My favorite)
Signing Time
Jump start on the computer
Reading
cooking w/ mama
cleaning w/ mama
shopping w/ mama
walking outside and picking flowers (Sarah's favorite)
Pretty much doing everything w/ mama.
